Beauty spot

Last week I heard an extremely beautiful little girl complaining about an adorable little mole on her cheek. I piped in and said that I thought it was beautiful but she disagreed. She said she could never be pretty because of her mole and that 'no pretty girls have moles'. I told her that someday I would prove to her that she was wrong. Today is that day.

There was a point where I had to decide between two things: to either crawl into bed and to never come out, hiding behind my sadness and my fear or to just hit the ground running and do whatever I could to make life better. I decided to keep going running, head first, into the storm because I know that it can't rain forever. I just need to remind myself of that every morning... Here's to a happy New Year!!!
