So, I decided.

I am sick of being a pessimist. I am sick of being sad about moving. I know I'm going to miss all of my friends and I'm going to miss my family. But, I should be excited! This is a good thing! At least, that's what everyone is telling me... So, the point of this post is to help me figure out why I am so excited to move and start college. I am going to list a reason for every day that I have left before I move. It's going to be a little rough towards the end but I think I can make it.

Reason #1- I get to look at this beautiful building every day!

Reason # 2- I get to live here:

Reason #3- I get to have a fresh start and be can be whoever I want to be. Nobody has to know that I'm painfully shy or that I didn't talk to anyone for the first month that I lived here. I can just be me! The me I've always wanted to be!

Reason #4- I get to go to a school that has family heritage. Both my Great-grandmother and my Great- grandfather Biddulph taught at BYU-I when it was Rick's college. There is a Men's dorm named after my Grandpa and the children's section of the library is dedicated to my Grandmother. So, I guess I'll have some family while I'm there. If ever I'm missing home, I'll just go visit the children's library and look at the picture of my Grandmother Ruth.

Reason #5- Even if I will not ever get to partake of the glory because of homework or studying, I am going to be living in the mecca of fly-fishing. See below:

The Snake River
Reason #6- I get to decorate my new room. I realize this sounds silly. I'm going to be living in a small apartment. However, I love putting my things away in a new bedroom and putting a new comforter on a new bed. It's a symbol to me of the exciting part of starting over. Every time my parents have dragged me away from my friends and to a new home, that's been my favorite part.

Reason #7- This may not be a reason I'm excited to go to Rexburg, but it's a reason I'm not as mad that I am. I can still come home for Thanksgiving and Christmas and some random weekends. It's not like everyone's going to die or otherwise disappear forever when I leave!

Reason #8- These will be my new home.

The Grand Tetons. Have I mentioned these are my favorite mountains? They are. They're absolutely gorgeous!
Reason #9- This is the beginning of the rest of my life. (cheesy, I know.) I can finally start moving on with things. From here on out, life is going to be like reading a suspense mystery novel. Before graduation, I knew pretty  much what was going to happen every day. Wake up, go to school, go to practice, come home, do my homework, go to sleep. The same thing happened every day. And I knew that after one year of high school, there just came another. It was starting to get a little old. Don't get me wrong, high school was fantastic. It just seemed like the same things happened over and over and over. And, if something out of the ordinary was going to happen, I could find out about it ahead of time on the link titled "calendar" on the Timpview homepage. But, now, anything could happen! I'm excited to find out what it is!

Today was... interesting.

So, as you probably noted in the title of this post, today was quite interesting. It was fun, yes. But, it was super weird. Here's what happened: This morning started with waking up to a completely empty house. I had no idea where any of my family was and then I realized they were all at school and work. It was pretty lonely. But, I got over that pretty quick and just blasted Foster the People and "Stereo Hearts" through my central stereo system while I ate Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds. After breakfast, I worked some more on cleaning my room and sorting through stuff for college (I've been doing that all week). Then, Steph came over and we were going to go horse-back riding. But, when we realized how hot it was, we decided to just go visit the horses and not ride. This turned out to be quite an adventure! We arrived to discover that the horses were out of water and we couldn't fill their trough because the hose wasn't working because the water was turned off. But, there was no way we were just going to leave them without water. It was like a million degrees outside! We could feel it! So, with no other choice, we dragged the bucket down to the creek [kreek] to fill it with water and then proceeded to carry/drag/push/whatever we could manage it back to the pasture. We're talking a huge bucket here. We looked like total idiots. And, it was so flaming hot. We were dying. As soon as we were done with the whole horse adventure though, we sped to my house, made a smoothie, and jumped in my pool. Sweet relief! Pretty much, we had a dance party in the pool. It was amazing. Later tonight, Steph, Seth, and I roasted marshmallows over my fire pit and then were sitting on my back porch talking when guess what happened. My hammock broke. While I was sitting in it. And, this isn't one of those wimpy, 3 inches above the ground things. It was high. All I can say is: bruised tailbones hurt.

Song of the Week- Anything For You

"And I fell down to you in a parachute
Of newspaper, rubber bands, tape, and glue
So you would see I would do anything for you
Anything for you"

Brendan James

G.N.O. + Andrew

So, G.N.O.? Party? Yep. Here was the agenda:

1. Steph, Eve, and I talking for hours about anything/everything and nothing at the same time.
2. Shopping (of course) at Kohl's and other places with great (or not so great...?) sales.
Does anyone know what this article of clothing is called? We don't.
3. Pick up Andrew and go to the mall to purchase and devour pretzel bites and have a party in the photo booth.
 4. Watch "While You Were Sleeping" while giving/receiving hand massages. (Catie, Jacob, and Malcom had also joined us by this point in time. Pretty sure the guys were going crazy with our giggly girlishness. Oh well. They knew beforehand it was a G.N.O.)

The end.

P.S. You may also read about this lovely event on Andrew's blog.

High five for first kiss!

(not mine...)

Wouldn't it be cute if everyone was that excited about every kiss they ever got? Can you imagine some 90 year old man kissing his wife and then punching the air and shouting "woohooo!!!"? Don't you think that'd be cute?

Animal Sightings for today:

1. Mother moose with two babies. (Ahhhhh! So cute!)
2. Porcupine. (Also quite adorable!)
3. A zebra with blue vans.

Here are the goods (photos) from today's adventures. But, please excuse the lack of moose photos because they were not in a photo-possible position. I had to look at them through my binoculars. Plus, it was time for dinner and my dad had grilled some dang good pork and zuchini.

As I often say, excuse the crappy photo. It was moving too quick for me to take
the time to change the settings on my camera.
It got mad at me when I started running so I could get in front of it...
I was in my room changing out of my "for my eyes only" clothes when I saw the porcupine out my window...
Like I was going to waste time finishing getting dressed!
I just think my shoes are cool.

#16- Check! (again)

Pretty much , this was the cutest thing ever. And, I really was that close. I was using hardly any zoom. And at one point, if I'd had arms the length of my dad's, I could have reached out and pet it. This definitely was one of my favorite things to cross off of my summer bucket list.

There's always a rainbow after the storm.
